Los Perros del Mal was revived in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide on Saturday, June 20 as the new stable of Daga, Angel, Berto, Bronco Nima and Karmen Petrovic laid out El Grande Americano.

Americano made his first AAA appearance since defeating Original El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask Match at Noche de Los Grandes and Americano set his sights upon challenging Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship. Americano was interrupted by Karmen Petrovic before the four males surrounded El Grande Americano and laid him out. The new stable then revealed they were wearing Los Perros del Mal t-shirts.

False Finish has reported that WWE/AAA received the blessing of Perro Aguayo Jr's family to revive Los Perros del Mal. Translated as The Dogs of Evil, Los Perros del Mal was founded by Perro Aguayo Jr. in CMLL in 2004 and the stable was one of the top heel factions in the company until 2008 when Aguayo Jr. and others quit CMLL to form Perros del Mal Producciones.

Los Perros del Mal then kicked off a AAA invasion angle in the summer of 2010 and remained a featured faction in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide until 2019, beyond Perro Aguayo Jr's sudden passing in 2015.

The group was incredibly popular in Mexico and Los Perros del Mal t-shirts were a cultural phenomenon in the country on the level of nWo t-shirts in the United States during the 1990s.
