WWE Releases Top Dolla of Hit Row

Top Dolla is gone from WWE

Top Dolla has been released by WWE for a second time, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. His Hit Row stablemates Ashante "Thee" Adonis and B-Fab are still under contract with the company, as of the most recent updates.

Top Dollas has been let go as part of mass talent releases that have seen the likes of Rick Boogs, Emma, Riddick Moss, Aliyah, and Elias be let go. Mustafa Ali also stated today that he is no longer working with WWE. The releases have been carried out following the merger with UFC on Tuesday, September 12. Over 100 office employees were fired on Friday, September 15.

Following a career in the NFL, Top Dolla (real name AJ Francis) signed with WWE in January 2020. He made his TV debut on May 4, 2021 as part of Hit Row with Adonis, Fab, and Isaiah Swerve Scott (now Swerve Strickland in AEW). The faction would be a popular addition to NXT which led to their main roster call-ups in the 2021 WWE Draft. The whole of Hit Row had been released by the company by the end of November 2021, though.

Top Dolla, Adonis, and B-Fab then returned to WWE in August 2022 as one of Triple H's first signings. Dolla and Adonis had been booked as a tag team in recent months.
