Elias & Riddick Moss Released By WWE

Elias and Riddick Moss are gone from WWE

WWE's talent cuts continue and Elias and Riddick Moss are the latest wrestlers to be released by WWE, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. They join Emma, Aliyah, Top Dolla and Rick Boogs. Mustafa Ali is also no longer working with WWE as of today, he stated on Twitter.

Talent cuts had been rumoured since the WWE-UFC merger was completed on Tuesday, September 12. Office cuts were made on Friday, September 15 and over 100 employees were let go.

Elias had been a part of WWE since 2014, first as Elias Samson in NXT until his name was shortened shortly after his WWE main roster debut in 2017. He became a popular member of the roster through his guitar-playing drifter gimmick and his call that WWE stood for "Walk With Elias." He was repackaged briefly in 2022 as Elias' storyline brother Ezekiel but the man behind the character, Jeffrey Sciullo, returned to being Elias later in the year.

Elias had been seldom used in 2023. His most recent WWE match came in a Battle Royal on May 15.

Riddick Moss had been a part of WWE since 2014. He received a push in late 2021 and 2022 as Madcap Moss but he had fallen down the card in recent times and was relegated to Main Event matches in recent weeks.
