Demand for WWE tickets has been high over the past year, with the company very much on a hot streak when it comes to selling out arenas and setting attendance records across the United States in 2023.

That streak came to an end over the weekend, though, when WWE held their 'Sunday Stunner' house show at the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas on Sunday, October 22. Only 2,683 tickets were distributed for the live event and WWE ended up pulling a "significant number of seats" from sale ahead of the show, which was the first time WWE has had to do this in a long time, according to WrestleTix.

It was noted that Laredo has "always been a challenging market", especially for house shows. WWE had 7,555 tickets distributed for the SmackDown taping in the same venue on January 27, 2023.

WWE suffered from no such struggles for the October 23 edition on Monday Night Raw from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. WrestleTix reported that 11,357 tickets were distributed for the event up from 8,505 tickets the last time WWE was in the building on October 31, 2022.

AEW has struggled to sell out arenas for the past several months, with empty seats at Dynamite and Collision tapings having become a common occurrence.
