WWE Reportedly Facing 'A Tricky Situation' Regarding Charlotte Flair

WWE are reportedly in the midst of a 'tricky situation' in regards to how they handle the recent issues regarding Charlotte Flair.

The Friday 22 October episode of SmackDown saw a main-event segment involving Flair and Becky Lynch swapping their Championships, after being drafted to different brands. Flair's conduct in the segment, which was reportedly not the scripted plan, led to a backstage altercation between The Queen and The Man following the show, resulting in Flair being escorted out of the building by security.

Amid further reports regarding Flair's conduct backstage in WWE, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio says that source within WWE says the company find themselves with a 'tricky situation' to contend with.

The source suggests that, should WWE decide to punish Flair for her actions, then they set the precedent of needing to sanction any individual over any perceived issues with their backstage behaviour.

In regard to the situation on the whole, the source is quoted as saying: "It’s a tricky situation, isn’t it? Does WWE just hand her over to AEW?"

Flair's fiancée, Andrade, currently works for All Elite Wrestling, and tweeted out 'FU...WWE!!!" on Friday evening. Meltzer also noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the impression he was given was that the tweet from Andrade El Idolo on Friday was in reference to what happened backstage at SmackDown.
