WWE Reportedly Scrap Another NXT Main Roster Call-Up

WWE SmackDown Live almost got a new face...

It feels like half of last year's NXT roster has been moved to the Raw and SmackDown Live crews so far this year. EC3, Nikki Cross, Heavy Machinery, and Lacey Evans (spare a thought for Lars Sullivan here, of course) were all moved at the start of the year, with NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black and Ricochet appearing on the red and blue brand shows for the first time last week.

According to a report from PWInsider, however, one more NXT star was set to be called up but those plans have been scrapped.

PWInsider initially reported that Candice LeRae was set to be moved to the SmackDown Live roster to help pad out the live event options in the women's division, potentially leading to a full-time move.

However, she's back on the NXT loop this week, as the move to SmackDown appears to be off for now.

Candice made her main roster debut in this year's women's Royal Rumble match in Pheonix, entering at number 17 and lasting almost 10 minutes before being eliminated by Ruby Riott.
