WWE have signed 14 new recruits following their tryout ahead of the July 30 SummerSlam pay-per-view.
It was revealed in a video of each talent being offered a contract that the following athletes had been signed:
The pre-SummerSlam tryout was composed of 50 athletes and was reportedly a "disaster" with the untrained talent suffering injuries, including several concussions. It was noted in WWE that more independent wrestlers will likely be invited to future tryouts, especially since Triple H was appointed Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and head of creative.
WWE have moved to recruit more athletes, particularly from colleges in the United States since 2021 and the company have set up their own NIL programme to help bring in athletes, signing them to deals while they are still studying that provide them with access to the Performance Center and other resources.
