WWE will be returning to brand-specific live events for the house show loop following Christmas.

WWE have run 'Supershows' since the return to touring and live crowds in July, combining the Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown rosters in order to give attending fans the best of both brands at the live events.

It appears, however, that WWE will be bringing back the brand specific live event shows, with the week following Christmas splitting the two rosters for separate events across the United States.

As noted by PWInsider, the Monday Night Raw roster will present a special live event from Madison Square Garden on Boxing Day - Sunday 26 December - before playing live events in Pittsburgh on Tuesday 28, Toronto on Wednesday 29 and Montreal on Thursday 30.

WWE SmackDown, meanwhile, will present five events between Boxing Day and Thursday 30, with these emanating from Tampa, Orlando, Washington Baltimore, and Buffalo.

With the holiday season in full flow, it is likely that WWE is hoping to capitalise on families being free across the Christmas and New Year period by attracting them to shows. Splitting the roster could, in theory, lead to more revenue.
