WWE's Plans To Combat Philadelphia Weather At WrestleMania 40 Revealed

WWE WrestleMania 40 to have heated ring

Taking place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, WrestleMania XL won't be the usual sunny affair that fans have come to expect from the Showcase of the Immortals, particularly when it takes place in Florida or California.

The weather, according to BBC Weather, for night one of WrestleMania 40 is forecast to be dark with clear skies and the temperature will fluctuate between 5 and 8 Degrees Celsius during the show. Clear skies are also forecast for night two of WrestleMania with the temperature between 5 and 9 Degrees Celsius.

With cold weather expected for the outdoor show, WWE will utilise a heated ring for WrestleMania 40, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. The ring was specially produced several years ago for the WrestleMania shows at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. The ring will see heat pumped into the squared circle from all four corners.

Although rain has not been forecast, there will be a canopy above the ring just in case. The WrestleMania set was finished on Thursday night on what was said to be an "absolutely awful" weather day.
