All internal current projects within WWE have been put on pause following the death of Hulk Hogan on July 24.
Per a report from TC of WrestleVotes on X/Twitter, many departments within WWE have been pivoted towards working on Hogan content with their non-Hogan projects put on pause. It is expected that WWE will be paying all manner of tribute to the iconic Hulkster over the next week, especially on social media.
News of Hogan’s death was broken by TMZ on July 24, with Hogan passing after suffering a cardiac arrest in his Florida home.
A controversial figure during the latter parts of his life, Hogan’s mark on professional wrestling is indelible, with the 1980s rock & wrestling boom centred around Hulk Hogan and the WWF, with Hulkamania becoming an international phenomenon.
Hogan’s move to WCW in the mid-1990s eventually heralded the second great modern wrestling boom, with Hogan’s heel turn and formation of the New World Order taking WCW into first place, and taking wrestling to all new heights.
A 13-time world champion across New Japan Pro-Wrestling, WWF/WWE, and WCW, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on two occasions; once in 2005 as a solo act, and again in 2020 as part of the NWO.
