WWE SmackDown Commentator Pat McAfee Tests Positive For COVID-19

McAfee joined WWE SmackDown in April

WWE Commentator Pat McAfee has revealed he has tested positive for COVID-19.

McAfee noted on social media on Wednesday 25 August that he was feeling under the weather and would subsequently be missing his regular show. The SmackDown analyst would phone in and said he was running a fever of 104.5 degrees Fahrenheit, and would reveal he had tested positive for coronavirus. 

The 34-year-old also revealed he has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 but would be resting and isolating at home until he was better.

Writing on social media, McAfee said: "Fully Vax’d. Very Positive. Aht Indefinitely.

"It’s miserable but thankful that my wife and the boys at the office all took tests and they are all negative..

"This is obviously a sign from the universe, probably telling me that I stink & to stay home for a while. I’ll see yinz."

McAfee has been part of the SmackDown announce team since April, joining Michael Cole on the blue brand following WrestleMania 37. He has been lauded for his passion and energy in the announcer's booth.
