WWE Reportedly Offer Contract Extension To Pete Dunne

WWE want Dunne to stick around

WWE have reportedly offered NXT superstar Pete Dunne a contract extension.

It has previously been reported that Dunne finds himself in a similar situation to former NXT Champion Adam Cole in that his contract with WWE is set to expire significantly sooner than the company realised, leaving many officials in the promotion surprised at how soon Dunne's deal runs out.

According to Fightful Select, sources confirmed over SummerSlam weekend that Dunne has indeed been offered a new contract by WWE.

There have been varying indications as to how long the new deal with WWE is, nor has it been confirmed if Dunne has decided to re-sign yet or not.

The former NXT UK Champion is reportedly set to be in a top position on the black-and-gold brand going forward. A recent report indicated that Dunne would be one of NXT's leading heels, alongside Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong, in the wake of Karrion Kross' move to Monday Night Raw and Adam Cole's imminent departure.

Dunne has aligned with Ridge Holland, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch on NXT and seems to have his sights set on NXT Champion Samoa Joe.
