WWE SmackDown Viewership Dips Below 2 Million For Post-WrestleMania Show

Down a bit from last week's WrestleMania-themed card

WrestleMania 37 has come and gone, and WWE SmackDown ended up with a surprisingly low number for its post-Mania broadcast.

Per Showbuzz Daily, the April 16 SmackDown averaged 1,997,000 viewers, down 83,000 (four percent) from last week's 2,080,000 viewers for the "WrestleMania" edition of SmackDown, marking the first time in four weeks (the March 19 broadcast) that SmackDown dipped below the two million viewer mark in overnight viewership.

SmackDown averaged 2,001,000 viewers for hour one, and 1,992,000 for hour two, so at least there wasn't a sizable drop between the hours.

Per its recent norm, SmackDown averaged a .50 in 18-49, though it was down from last week's .55 rating.

Women 18-49 and adults 50+ both dropped from hour one to hour two, going from a 3 share to a 2 in both instances.

SmackDown finished tied for second in its time slot in 18-49 with ABC's 20/20 and CBS's Magnum PI, and behind ABC's Shark Tank.

In 18-34, where SmackDown did a .30 rating in tune with last week, SmackDown also tied 20/20 and Magnum PI, while only trailing Shark Tank.
