WWE Star Pulled From Next Week's Raw

A WWE Raw star will be absent from next week's show

A WWE star will be absent from next week's edition of Monday Night Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Xavier Woods revealed on Twitter that he suffered whiplash after being struck by a chair on the August 28 show from red brand. As a result he will be off TV next week.

"Moments before I had a chair hurled into my face giving me whiplash. Doctors orders, no wrestling next week. Was pumped to be out there on my birthday but it looks like I'll be spending it at home next Monday. See yall the week after!" Woods tweeted.

Woods teamed with his New Day faction mate Kofi Kingston on Raw against The Viking Raiders. The 2021 King of the Ring winner sustained the injury after Drew McIntyre, who was watching the match at ringside, decided to get involved and start throwing chairs around, with one of them hitting Woods in the face. This took Woods out of the match and allowed the Viking Raiders to pick up the victory.

Woods' injury comes only a few weeks after The New Day returned to WWE TV, with Woods and Kofi resurfacing on Raw in early August after a few months off the show.
