The topic of WWE’s ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 has been a hot one in recent weeks as movement has still been fairly slow despite various sales in which both WWE and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada have attempted to slash prices and draw in fans. Recent attempts from WWE to fill the stadium have included an influx of celebrity cameos plus the announcement of John Cena as the host of the show, which was reported to be solely a ticket-moving strategy.
Despite WWE’s continued failings to bring in fans for WrestleMania in Las Vegas (which is being held in the same venue for the second year in a row and taking place at the same time as tighter border controls for tourists and the country being involved in military conflict), the company is still not giving the okay to comp tickets.
It was noted by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer that WWE is claiming to a lot of people that comp tickets are not available this year. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp followed this up by revealing that WWE are being very strict on talent regarding comp tickets, and that if they do get them, it’ll be much closer to the day.
It looks as though WWE will continue attempting to sell more tickets and fill the venue over the next couple of weeks. Various tactics have been used by the company, such as putting a stop to local watch parties, though the ban on this was lifted following widespread criticism and concern from Las Vegas officials who were promised city-wide money being made, not just money for WWE and the venue.
