Due to the struggling ticket sales for WrestleMania 42, even with special 25% off deals and the slashing of prices, WWE made the call to block Las Vegas bars from hosting watch along parties, bringing about a blackout in order to try and drum up more sales and fill Allegiant Stadium across April 18 and 19.

In a positive change, it seems as though WWE is going back on this approach. Fightful Select has revealed that there was “positive momentum on watch parties being allowed”. For instance, Circa Las Vegas’ Stadium Swim noted that their ban on showing WrestleMania 42 has been lifted, allowing watch parties to take place in locations that license the event through Joe Hand Promotions.

Various venues and officials from across Las Vegas had reportedly shown frustration at WWE’s stance due to the fact that WrestleMania is supposed to bring business to the whole city, rather than just Allegiant Stadium and for WWE. The build to WrestleMania 42 has experienced more than one controversy, with recent reports suggesting that there was great frustration in the company over the lack of direction in terms of the show’s theme and presentation.
