WWE Superstar Baron Corbin Insults AEW Dynamite Tag Team Match

The Lone Wolf tweets...

Since Dynamite debuted on October 2nd, The Wednesday Night Wars has extended into many different areas. While the main focus every week is on TV when Dynamite and NXT go head to head, both companies have also competed over trademarks. WWE and AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes have been on somewhat of a trademark spree in recent months, as they both try to claim the rights to former WCW and ECW event names.

Now, another battleground has seemingly opened up on Twitter, as WWE Superstar Baron Corbin was watching Dynamite last night and had some criticisms for the opening match. The episode began with a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match between The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page, Santana & Ortiz, and Best Friends to determine the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The match itself ended with Omega & Page emerging victorious, but the current King Of The Ring was not impressed with the in-ring action.

He tweeted: "Winner gets a title shot so.....forget covers, everybody get pops, spot spot spot dive dive dive spot spot spot spot dive dive dive dive spot dive spot dive spot group spot group spot dive, get your s**t in, neck beards 'this is awesome,'" accompanied with a GIF of Team America: World Police throwing up.

Many wrestling fans reacted negatively to Corbin's tweet, and even Dave Meltzer replied to Corbin, tweeting: "You look really smart when your own company's opener was the exact same style. Please teach Levesque about his promotion, fans and style to save the business. But hey, you'd be the guy mad when they started shooting jumpers instead of set shots."
