Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, & Shotzi def. Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, & Asuka) - WarGames

WWE Survivor Series kicked off with WarGames as Damage CTRL faced Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi inside the double-ring cage. Breaking from WarGames tradition, the babyfaces had the advantage and the match opened with Becky Lynch vs. Bayley before Shotzi entered the fray, throwing steel chairs and a trash can into the ring. IYO SKY then entered for Damage CTRL before the babyfaces gained the advantage once again with Bianca Belair.

Kairi Sane was the next competitor in the match before Charlotte Flair joined as fans continued to demand tables be used in WarGames. There was a staredown between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair even though they were on the same team which was broken up by Damage CTRL pushing them into each other. IYO SKY then recreated a huge WarGames spot, putting the trash can over her head and leaping from the top of the cage to take out everybody inside the ring.

With everybody dead, Asuka headed to the ring to officially begin WarGames after adding four kendo sticks, a fire extinguisher, and a table to the mix, much to the delight of the fans inside the Allstate Arena. Damage CTRL soon dominated, with Asuka misting Shotzi before she hit a Shotgun Dropkick on Becky Lynch while a trash can was over The Man's head.

The babyfaces soon fought back after Charlotte Flair hit a Moonsault from the top of the cage to take out all of Damage CTRL, especially IYO SKY who took a knee right to the top of the head. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair then worked together for the GREATER GOOD and they had a very aggressive hug.

Lynch looked to have the match won after she applied the Disarm-her to Kairi Sane but Bayley broke up the submission. Bayley then went flying again to break up a pin attempt from Shotzi on Asuka following a Shotgun Dropkick from the top rope while Asuka was caught in an Electric Chair. Bayley then connected with a Rose Plant to Lynch but she was soon flattened by a Sliced Bread from Shotzi.

A fire extinguisher spot was next as Bianca Belair used it to blow away Asuka's mist. Kairi Sane then ruined Shotzi's face with a trash can shot to the face. Flair then looked to follow up with a Spear to Kairi but Bayley took the move for her team. A KOD from Belair to Bayley followed before Bayley was sent crashing through the table with an Avalanche Manhandle Slam from Becky Lynch for the big babyface win.

Following the segment, there was an argument between Otis and Pretty Deadly over whether Ruffles crisps were chips or crisps. Of course, as we all know, crisps are crisps and chips are what Americans call french fries. R-Truth then made his sensational return, resolving the issues between Pretty Deadly and Otis before he invited Akira Tozawa to do the Ruffles Shuffle.

Sami Zayn and Jey Uso then had a chat backstage during which Zayn revealed Randy Orton was not in the building. WWE playing with fire, of course, led to CM Punk chants inside the Allstate Arena.

Gunther (c) def. The Miz - Intercontinental Championship

In the early going, Miz tried to chop Gunther but this only angered Der Ring General who decided to hand out a reality check and chop Miz to the mat. Miz fired back up and connected with some chops and punches. Miz then continued to dominate, applying a Figure Four while Gunther’s legs were wrapped around the turnbuckle.

Gunther soon took control again, countering a Springboard with a Big Boot in mid-air. Gunther then dominated and went for a Powerbomb which Miz countered with a Headscissors. Miz then went back after the knee. Miz managed to hit some It Kicks but Gunther fired back soon after with a Powerbomb.

Gunther believed that was all she wrote but Miz kicked out, much to the Intercontinental Champion’s dismay. Gunther took out his anger on Miz, slapping him on the back of the head before he locked in a Sleeper Hold. Miz then pulled off the turnbuckle pad and while the referee was putting it back on he connected with a devious low blow.

A Skull-Crushing Finale later and Miz looked to have match won, only for Gunther to kick out at 2.9. The fans demanded he hit the finisher one more time but Gunther escaped and applied the Sleeper one more time. Miz nearly won again after rolling through with the Bret Hart spot.

One Clothesline, a Splash and a Liontamer later and The Miz tapped out to hand Gunther the submission victory.

Santos Escobar def. Dragon Lee

Santos Escobar dominated the early going against Dragon Lee and looked to injure the former La Faccion Ingobernable member, placing his leg between the steel steps and the ring post. Dragon Lee managed to escape, though, and he followed up with a Frankensteiner and Senton over the top rope.

Escobar soon managed to take control again and he received "asshole" chants after he tried to rip off Dragon Lee's mask. Lee managed to fire back with the Double Stomp from the top rope for a near fall before he ran into a huge Superkick from Escobar that sent Lee into a spin. Lee then regained momentum, connecting with a Sit-Out Powerbomb, but Escobar scored the win following a Canadian Destroyer and Phantom Driver.

Rhea Ripley (c) def. Zoey Stark - Women's World Championship

Rhea Ripley defended the Women's World Championship against Zoey Stark in the semi-main event of Survivor Series and the champion soon gained the upper hand and proceeded to work over Stark for several minutes as the challenger repeatedly tried and failed to fight back.

A big botch from the top rope followed where this writer has no idea what they were attempting but Zoey Stark followed up with a Roundhouse Kick to fight back into the contest. Ripley fired back with a kick of her own, though, and a Northern Lights Suplex scored a near fall. Ripley continued to work over the challenger until Zoey Stark asked to be hit harder.

Ripley obliged until Stark fought through and connected with a German Suplex for a near fall. Ripley blocked the Z360 and hit the Riptide for the win.

Ahead of the main event, it was reiterated that Randy Orton still wasn't in the building, with Jey saying it was his fault because The Bloodline took out Randy Orton back in May 2022. The babyfaces were ready to go to war nonetheless, however.

Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, & Jey Uso def. Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, & JD McDonagh) & Drew McIntyre - WarGames

It was then main event time and WarGames opened with Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins as there were spatterings of CM Punk chants in the early going due to WWE continuing to tease that Randy Orton wasn't yet in the building. JD McDonagh was second in for Judgment Day which allowed the heels to gain the upper hand, working over Rollins with a kendo stick.

Jey Uso was next in for the babyfaces which led to loud "YEET" chants every time 'Main Event' hit a move. There was then tension within Judgment Day as Damian Priest blocked Drew McIntyre from entering the cage next, telling Irn Dru to stick to the plan, whatever that plan may be. This led to more Judgment Day dominance before Sami Zayn entered the ring, adding tables to the mix to another huge pop from the Chicago crowd.

The babyfaces ran wild with a pipe until an angry Drew McIntyre entered next and dominated, hitting an Alabama Slam on Rollins which sent him crashing into Zayn. McIntyre then went after Jey Uso but ended up eating a 1D from Zayn and Uso.

Cody Rhodes, whose father is Dusty Rhodes, entered the ring next and proceeded to run wild on the competition while Michael Cole gave a brief hint to All In. Rhodes then retrieved a bull rope from out of nowhere and he and Seth Rollins decked Finn Balor right in the nether regions with the weapon. An argument then broke out between the World Heavyweight Champion and Cody over if Randy Orton was going to show up.

Judgment Day on top again soon after, though, after Dominiik Mysterio entered the match. Judgment Day were then massively on top with Damian Priest putting Seth Rollins through a table with a Razor's Edge as the clock ticked down to zero. As zero hit, Rhea Ripley ran down with the Money in the Bank briefcase and Priest was about to cash in, only for Randy Orton to make his WWE return and enter WarGames to officially begin the match.

Judgment Day did their best Batman Arkham Asylum impression and attacked Randy Orton one by one, quickly succumbing to the 14-time world champion and the heels finally decided to work together. The other babyfaces then made the save which led to a mass brawl in the middle of the double ring before the babyfaces all hit Orton's Draping DDT. Orton then went to his special place and looked to RKO Jey Uso. Orton told Uso that he remembered but Jey saved him from a Priest attack. Orton then connected with an RKO to Dominik before a Cody Cutter from Rhodes, an Uso Splash from Jey, and a Helluva Kick from Zayn left JD McDonagh all alone.

JD McDonagh then died as he was thrown from the top of the cage by Zayn and Rollins so Orton could hit a huge RKO. Instead of making the pin, Orton allowed Cody to hit Cross Rhodes on Damian Priest for the big babyface win.

CM PUNK RETURNS

Following WarGames, it looked like that was it for the show as Randy Orton and co. celebrated. The little ticker at the bottom of the screen even popped up until 'Cult of Personality' suddenly filled the arena and CM Punk made his sensational return to WWE, appearing on the ramp before he celebrated with fans as Survivor Series came to a shocking end.
