WWE Takes Shot At Tony Khan During Elimination Chamber

WWE's Michael Cole takes a shot at Tony Khan

WWE couldn't resist taking a shot at All Elite Wrestling CEO Tony Khan during the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

BT Sport's Ariel Helwani was shown during the broadcast sitting at ringside with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre and upon the pair being shown on camera, commentator Michael Cole called Helwani an "unbiased journalist" who "asks the hard questions, whether you want to answer them or not."

This was ultimately in reference to an exchange between Ariel Helwani and Tony Khan following the journalist's appearance on Friday's edition of SmackDown in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

After Helwani appeared on the show, Khan tweeted: "You're a fraud @arielhelwani. You're as legitimate of a reporter as @tonyschiavone24". Helwani then fired back: "Thanks for watching, old friend! Can't wait for our next chat. (Also, don't listen to the snowman, Schiavone. You're a legend in my books)".

Khan then ended the exchange, writing: "Good luck with the unbiased journalism".

Khan and Helwani have had issues since an interview in October 2022 which Helwani would later describe as "one of the most frustrating" of his career. Helwani tried to ask Khan about the backstage altercation between CM Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite at All Out during the interview but Khan was reluctant to discuss the matter. The AEW CEO also avoided addressing the talent's AEW futures.

Tony Khan recently noted in an interview that AEW and WWE hate each other. Find out more here.
