WWE Talent Praised For Stepping Up

A WWE Superstar saved the day after travel issues in India.

A WWE Superstar was praised internally after the recent Superstar Spectacle show in Hyderabad, India, according to a report from Fightful Select.

The report reveals that Natalya offered to wrestle twice on the show, having only been scheduled for a Women's World Championship match against Rhea Ripley. However, a tear in Becky Lynch's passport meant that she was unable to travel to the show, leaving Zoey Stark without an opponent for the night.

Fightful Select's report states:

"There were other options discussed, but WWE had limited female wrestlers scheduled to travel to the country. We’re told that a triple threat match was briefly considered, but Natalya eventually stepped up and said she was willing to work twice on the show. WWE higher ups that we heard from put her over heavily for doing so, with one telling us it displayed leadership and helped them out of a bind."

The match with Zoey Stark therefore became a number one contender match, with Natalya winning and going on to face Ripley for the title later in the show.

Natalya also had a title match on last night's Raw, unsuccessfully facing Becky Lynch for the NXT Women's Championship. This was Natalya's first televised main roster match since July.
