WWE To Hold Double Tapings Of Raw & SmackDown Ahead Of Christmas
Lighter schedule ahead of Christmas for WWE talents
Nov 14, 2024
WWE talents will be able to have some time off during the run-up to Christmas Day.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that WWE will hold double tapings of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown ahead of Christmas. WWE will tape a live episode of SmackDown and the December 20 edition of the blue brand from Hartford, Connecticut on December 13. The December 23 episode of Raw, along with a live episode, will then be filmed on December 16 from Boston's TD Garden.
This will give main roster WWE talents over a week off before they return to the road for WWE's holiday tour beginning on December 26 at Madison Square Garden.
WWE talents will also have some time off ahead of Thanksgiving. A double taping of SmackDown is planned for Salt Lake City on November 22, with the second episode from the event scheduled to air on Friday, November 29. Thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, November 28 in the United States.
WWE operating a lighter schedule around the holidays differs greatly from the Vince McMahon era when the company would even air a live episode on Christmas Day, like in 2017.
