WWE To Stop Selling DVDs & Blu-Rays

No more WWE DVDs and Blu-Rays

WWE Home Video will soon be a thing of the past.

WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has reported that WWE will stop producing DVDs and Blu-Rays at the end of 2023. WWE initially looked set to stop producing physical media at the end of 2021 but a last-minute change of heart meant the Home Video division continued for another two years.

Fremantle Media, the official licensee of WWE Home Video in the United Kingdom, announced they would no longer be producing physical media for the company today, writing:

"With great sadness we must announce that WWE have taken the decision to withdraw from the Home Video category. No licensing deals will be renewed worldwide after 2023. This means the very last WWE Home Video release from Fremantle will be CROWN JEWEL 2023 (2-Disc DVD) on 18th December (UK) and 22nd December (GER).

"WWE Home Video have been releasing VHS, DVD & Blu-ray for 36 years, the last 11 years through Fremantle in Europe, but this will come to an end on 31st December 2023 with no further WWE DVD or Blu-ray stock manufactured.

"Everyone at WWE Home Video UK would like to thank all our collectors and fans for many years of support and passion."

The final WWE Home Video release in the United States will be Survivor Series 2023 on December 26. The cut-off means CM Punk's WWE return will not be available in the United Kingdom and Europe on physical media.

WWE has been producing physical media since 1985, initially with VHS, before producing DVDs from 1999. Other formats to feature WWE content include Blu-Ray, UMD, Laserdisc, and Betamax.
