Over the last week, it emerged in reports that WrestleMania 42 in 2026 would be changing location, moving from the scheduled location of New Orleans, Louisiana and instead taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second straight year. It was suggested that this was due to WWE looking to generate more money from the event - something they’d have more chance of doing in a Vegas return than heading to New Orleans.

Not only were there some frustrations within WWE over the change itself, there were also some unhappy with the fact that this news leaked, per a report from PWInsider. As of yet, a Las Vegas WrestleMania has not been announced, and WWE were not happy with the fact that news leaked before logistics were set in stone. The fact that the news leaked from the New Orleans market was something that prompted unhappiness too.

WWE have since officially announced that New Orleans would instead be hosting the 2026 Money In The Bank premium live event in August (a much later date than usual for this event) and an unspecified WrestleMania at some point in the future.
