WWE WrestleMania 40 Set For Philadelphia

WrestleMania heads to Philadelphia

WWE's biggest event of the year will return to the City of Brotherly Love in 2024 and the company announced today that WrestleMania 40 will take place at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7.

Away from WrestleMania, Friday Night SmackDown, the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, and Monday Night Raw will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, while other events will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John Saboor said: "On behalf of WWE, we are thrilled to bring WrestleMania back to the City of Brotherly Love. We thank all of our local partners who were integral in making this long-awaited return a reality."

Further information on WrestleMania 40 will be announced in the near future, WWE noted.

The 2024 edition of The Showcase of the Immortals will be the first time WrestleMania has taken place in Philadelphia since 1999 when WrestleMania XV was held at the Wells Fargo Center (then First Union Center). That show was main evented by The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's first WrestleMania match for the WWE Championship.

Outside of WrestleMania 40, Lincoln Financial Field is the home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and the Temple Owls.
