WWE Raw backstage interviewer Charly Caruso has joined the XFL's broadcast team.

Caruso revealed the news on her Instagram account recently, sharing her journey on a red-eye flight from Monday's Raw in Ontario, CA, to XFL headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Charly will be hosting a show called 'XFL Showcase', with rumours online indicating it could be the XFL's version of WWE Backstage.

Caruso will be going by her real name, Charly Arnolt, while she is on XFL duty.

The move marks WWE's first official crossover with the XFL. Last year, reports online suggested NXT's Pat McAfee was set to take an analyst's role with the XFL on ESPN. Vince McMahon, of course, has reiterated on numerous occasions that the XFL is a completely separate entity to WWE.

On top of her Monday Night Raw duties, Caruso has already done some broadcasting work outside of WWE, appearing on ESPN's SportsCenter.

As for the XFL, it kicked off with a strong start last weekend with its debut game attracting 3.3 million viewers on ABC - peaking at 4 million during the fourth quarter. This was higher than the Alliance Of American Football’s introduction last year, which garnered a viewership of 2.9 million in prime time.
