X-Division Title Match Confirmed For IMPACT Hard To Kill 2022

Steve Maclin finally gets Trey Miguel one-on-one

IMPACT Wrestling have confirmed that Trey Miguel will defend the X-Division Championship against Steve Maclin at Hard To Kill 2022.

Maclin has been on a quest to claim the X-Division Title for a number of months, competing along with Miguel and El Phantasmo in a Triple Threat Match for the then-vacant Championship at Bound For Glory in October.

Miguel would win the Title, pinning El Phantasmo, but Maclin has since claimed he was not defeated as he wasn't pinned or submitted by Miguel.

Since then, Maclin has again challenged for the Title in another Triple Threat bout, this time at Turning Point in November. Again, Miguel came out the winner by pinning Laredo Kidd, only adding further fuel to Maclin's fire.

Maclin has been seeking a singles match for the Title and recently kidnapped Miguel on IMPACT Wrestling, leading to his wish being granted and the bout being set for Hard To Kill.

IMPACT Wrestling will present Hard To Kill on Saturday 8 January 2022.
