X Division Title Match Confirmed For TNA Slammiversary 2024

TNA Slammiversary 2024 to feature an X Division Title match

With a little over a week until TNA Slammiversary 2024, TNA X Division Champion Mustafa Ali has discovered who he will be facing for the title, after a number one contenders three-way match went down on the July 11 edition of IMPACT.

KUSHIDA, Jonathan Gresham, and Mike Bailey faced off for a shot at Ali, with Bailey getting the win after pinning Gresham. Bailey and Ali had originally agreed to a title match at Slammiversary, but Ali later rescinded the matching, meaning 'Speedball' had to fight for hit shot at the gold. Bailey will be hoping to lift the title for a second time at Slammiversary after an inaugural run in 2022, but Ali won’t go down easily, having built up a ton of momentum since his exit from WWE in late 2023.

This will be the first singles meeting between Ali and Bailey in a TNA ring, with their only previous singles match seeing Ali pick up the win at a PRESTIGE Wrestling event in February 2024. In TNA, Bailey and Speedball Mountain partner Trent Seven have a tag victory over Ali and Campaign Singh. Ali and Singh got their revenge on July 11 though, beating down both members of Speedball Mountain after Bailey's victory.
