Xavier Woods Names Billy & Chuck As His Favourite WWE Tag Team

Xavier Woods has named Billy and Chuck as his favourite WWE tag team of all time. 

The team - comprised of Billy Gunn and Chuck Palumbo - performed in WWE between 2001-2002 and separated when Billy sustained a shoulder injury during a first-round tournament match for the newly-created WWE Tag Team Championships. 

Woods, as a member of The New Day, has cultivated a large fan base. But the former Tag Team champion says his personal favourite is Billy and Chuck, because of how they created good matches with smaller opposition.

Speaking to INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Woods said: "I’m bad at picking the greatest. My favorite is Billy and Chuck, mainly because of their matches with the Hardys.

"It was the first time I noticed that The Hardys are not huge but they could still knock the huge guys down. In my teen head I was like: 'This is how wrestling should be'. This is where you put your ego aside and have this good match.

"I’ve always been a fan of tag team wrestling. But I like groups too. I was into 3 Count in WCW too. I love so many teams for so many reasons."
