Yulisa Leon Released By WWE

Yulisa Leon is no longer a part of WWE

Yulisa Leon has been released by WWE, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.

Leon is the 17th wrestler that has been let go by WWE today as part of major post-merger talent cuts. WWE officially merged with UFC under the TKO Group Holdings banner on Tuesday, September 12. WWE have already fired over 100 office employees on Friday, September 15.

A second-generation wrestler, Yulisa Leon signed with WWE in February 2021 and she made her in-ring debut later that year. Leon then began being booked on WWE NXT TV from November 2021, having 12 matches across NXT TV and NXT Level Up/205 Live until she sustained a serious knee injury in August of 2022.

Leon would return to action in May 2023 with an unexpected main roster debut as she and tag team partner Valentina Feroz suffered a squash loss to Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on Friday Night SmackDown. Leon and Feroz would be sporadically booked on NXT following their main roster debuts but they haven't been utilised by WWE since August 1.
