Report: Kevin Kelly's NJPW Commentary Replacement Revealed

Who will replace Kevin Kelly in NJPW?

Kevin Kelly's replacement as New Japan Pro-Wrestling's play-by-play English language commentator has been revealed.

According to Super J-Cast, Walker Stewart will be the new voice of NJPW's English broadcasts.

"Per multiple sources, Walker Stewart will be the new English voice of New Japan Pro Wrestling," Super J-Cast tweeted.

Kevin Kelly has been NJPW's play-by-play announcer for the past eight years but he will depart the company at some point following Wrestle Kingdom 18 and New Year Dash in January 2024. It is unknown if New Japan will make an official announcement about Kelly's departure.

Kelly revealed he would be leaving NJPW so he could spend more time in the United States with his wife. The former ROH commentator has been the voice of AEW Collision since the show's premiere in June 2023.

Known as 'The Velvet Voice', Walker Stewart is a play-by-play commentator based out of Oklahoma. He does commentary for several independent wrestling promotions, including GCW, CZW, WWN, and Booker T's Reality of Wrestling.
