Zack Sabre Jr. Calls Out Bryan Danielson For AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Two of the best technical wrestlers in the world could go one-on-one at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 26 in Chicago, Illinois.

Following his win at NJPW Dominion on Sunday, Zack Sabre Jr. called out AEW's Bryan Danielson, saying: "American Dragon, can you take some time out of your busy golfing schedule at the Blackpool Country Club to find out who the best technical wrestler in the world is? But I'll tell you now, darling, it's f*****g me."

Danielson has yet to respond to the challenge but The American Dragon has made it known since he signed with AEW that he wants to face the NJPW star to prove who the best technical wrestler in the world is. 

ZSJ and Danielson have faced off twice before, first in a Two-out-of-Three Falls Match in Coventry, England back in 2008 that was won by Danielson. They then clashed again in 2009 at wXw 16 Carat Gold and Sabre Jr. defeated Danielson on that occasion. 

Since 2004, only Danielson and Sabre Jr. have won the Bryan Danielson/Best Technical Wrestler Award in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Danielson has won the award 10 times while ZSJ won it consecutively between 2014 and 2020. 

Already set for Forbidden Door is an Interim AEW World Title match between Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
