Report: Further Details On Confrontation Between Chris Jericho & MVP

Also comments from MVP and Chris Jericho on the incident

Old hostilities were rekindled recently as it emerged that Chris Jericho and MVP had a confrontation in a hotel lobby on May 18 in Houston, Texas. The two men reportedly had a falling out 18 months ago and their issues arose again in the Houston hotel, with Jericho having the final say by telling MVP he didn't fight jobbers as the former AEW World Champion got into the elevator.

Fightful Select have since noted that MVP and Chris Jericho are no longer friends because of 'social and political issues' that came to light publicly on Twitter. Their differences worsened following a private exchange, though.

MVP was reportedly visiting friends at the hotel in Houston following All Elite Wrestling's show in the area and the WWE talent was said to have approached Jericho to discuss their issues. MVP invited Jericho to step outside so they could 'handle their problems.' Jericho instead got into the elevator and said he "doesn't fight jobbers."

A WWE source also claimed that an individual from AEW reached out to WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. Johnny Ace was said to be unconcerned about the altercation as it ended without incident.

Both MVP and Chris Jericho commented on the confrontation to Fightful, with MVP saying "there was an exchange, but it didn't go down like that." Jericho, meanwhile, simply stated: "Nothing else to say. I don't fight jobbers. Nuff said."
