Zack Sabre Jr. Debuts New Argos-Inspired Finishing Move

Zack Sabre Jr. has paid homage to Argos for some reason

Zack Sabre Jr. is one of the most technically proficient wrestlers on the planet, with a ton of moves in his arsenal that the average pro wrestler couldn’t dream of applying.

The Mighty Don’t Kneel leader is also known for his eccentricities, as revealed during his G1 Climax Block D final win over Hirooki Goto. ZSJ got the win with a Cobra Twist after 14 minutes, but it was revealed on the official NJPW results page that ZSJ has re-dubbed the move ‘When Did They Put All Of The Argos Inside Sainsbury’s?’

For those outside of the UK, this is in reference to catalogue chain Argos, with many Argos outlets now positioned inside supermarket chain Sainsbury’s physical stores, with Sainsbury’s having taken over the brand in 2016.

For those inside the UK, this is just another weirdly relatable slice of Britannia from the NJPW World Television Champion, joining other moves such as 'Tesco Meal Deal', ‘Barry from Eastenders’, ‘Sunday Rail Engineering Works Replacement Bus Service’, and ‘Orienteering with Napalm Death’.

There’s no word if the spirit of George Michael helped ZSJ with this one.
