Zak Knight is no longer a part of All Elite Wrestling, ending his run in the promotion after one year.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Knight exited AEW after his contract recently expired. The 33-year-old signed with All Elite Wrestling in February 2024 after a handful of wins in Ring of Honor over the likes of Aaron Solo, Jon Cruz, and Peter Avalon.
Knight linked up with his sister Saraya as part of The Outcasts, entering a programme with Angelo Parker. Knight defeated Parker on the April 12 episode of AEW Rampage, which ended up being his only televised match in All Elite Wrestling.
Knight's final match in AEW/ROH was a dark match on June 5, 2024. He announced later in the year that he returned to the United Kingdom in June due to needing time off for personal reasons. He had been ready to return since August 2024 but the promotion never brought him back outside of appearing alongside Saraya at All In 2024.
Zak Knight has continued to wrestle on the UK independent wrestling scene, primarily for his father's World Association of Wrestling promotion.
Knight is just the latest departure from All Elite Wrestling in recent weeks. The likes of Ricky Starks, Miro, and Rey Fenix were all released by the promotion, while Malakai Black and Leyla Hirsch's contracts expired.
