Zelina Vega Wants A Match At WWE Backlash 2023

Zelina Vega Has Said She Wants A Match At The Puerto Rico Backlash PPV

For the first time since New Year’s Revolution 2005, WWE is returning to Puerto Rico for the Backlash 2023 PPV, in an event which will be hosted by Puerto Rican music sensation Bad Bunny, who may even compete in a match on the show after being put through an announce table by Damian Priest on the April 3 Monday Night Raw.

Someone else of Puerto Rican descent who wants to compete on the show is Zelina Vega, who is now a member of the newly formed Latino World Order alongside Rey Mysterio & Legado Del Fantasma. Zelina Vega spoke with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone regarding the event;

“I feel like that would be everything for me because not only would I be doing this as — and perfect scenario, honestly, because I always say that Rhea is my perfect opposite… Because I would have my David versus Goliath match in my home. I mean, really, I’d have my family there. I would have the support of everybody that’s supported me throughout the years. And it just feels like a perfect scenario, you know?

“So, what would it mean? It makes me speechless because I don’t know how to describe how much it would mean to me. There are no words for me to describe how much it would mean to me. But, I’m hoping that if the stars align the right way, that I get to have that match that I’ve been wanting so bad.”

After a recent babyface turn, Vega would make sense as the next opponent for Rhea Ripley, particularly when it comes to the setting of the PPV.
