Following the immensely popular Attitude Era that kicked off in the late 1990s and continued into the new millennium, WWE transitioned to the Ruthless Aggression era in 2002, shortly after the company was forced to change their name from the World Wrestling Federation.

Ruthless Aggression is fondly remembered by fans who grew up during the era, although that doesn't mean it didn't have its problems, with the company gripped by scandal at points.

Overall, though, Ruthless Aggression is often seen as one of WWE's best-ever eras alongside the Golden Era and Attitude Era.
