2 WWE Debuts Set For 205 Live

Alex Zayne and Jiro Kuroshio arrive with new names

Two Superstars will make their WWE debuts on tonight's edition of 205 Live, the company has officially announced.

The cruiserweight's show was taped on Tuesday ahead of NXT and it emerged that Alex Zayne was set to debut as Ari Sterling. WWE has since confirmed that Sterling will indeed be making his debut and he will go one on one with Samir Singh.

Jiro Kuroshio will also be debuting on 205 Live as Ikemen Jiro. He is scheduled to team with August Grey against Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari.

Both Sterling and Jiro joined WWE in the same Performance Center class in December 2020. That class also featured Nash Carter and Wes Lee of MSK, Tyler Rust and Anriel Howard.

Before signing with WWE, Sterling was prominently featured on the independent scene and wrestled for the likes of Game Changer Wrestling and Black Label Pro. He also regularly performed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the United States and the promotion was interested in signing him to a permanent deal, but he decided to join WWE instead.

Jiro was a freelancer in Japan before signing with WWE and regularly worked for All Japan Pro-Wrestling and DDT from 2019. Before that, he spent much of his career in Keiji Mutoh's Wrestle-1 promotion.
