AEW Have No Long-Term Plans For Ricky Starks

No long-term plans in AEW for Ricky Starks

The ongoing saga of ‘what is going on with Ricky Starks and All Elite Wrestling’ rumbles on, with the popular former AEW World Tag Team Champion having not been used by the organisation in several months.

Many assume that Starks will leave for WWE/NXT when his AEW deal eventually expires, but for now, Starks remains ‘All Elite’. Despite this, a recent podcast appearance by Ibou of WrestlePurists suggests that Starks is frustrated that AEW don’t have any long-term plans for him:

"The things that seem to be overlapping is that he is frustrated with the fact that he hasn't been given a direction. AEW is of the belief that he doesn't want to stay anymore and seemingly he is waiting his deal out, that is what people think... Nobody can agree when the deal is expiring," Ibou said. "The bottom line is Ricky Starks is home. He's healthy. He does not have any long-term plans in AEW. AEW has no long-term plans for him at this juncture and that's the situation."

Earlier rumours suggested that Starks turned down a creative pitch for him to feud with former tag partner Big Bill after the pair dropped the tag titles to Sting & Darby Allin.
