Ricky Starks Still Under Contract With AEW

Ricky Starks still a part of AEW

Ricky Starks has been very notable by his absence from All Elite Wrestling, with most fans believing it’s only a matter of time before ‘Absolute’ makes his was to WWE.

Such is the belief that Starks will head to WWE that rumours swirled suggesting the former FTW Champion had already departed AEW and had signed with WWE, but on the pre-All In media call, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that Starks is still under contract with AEW:

"Ricky has been a great star in AEW, been a champion here, and has had great matches here. I think very highly of Ricky. He's somebody that has been here for several years and he's under contract in AEW. He's a well-regarded wrestler here in AEW,” said Khan.

Starks has not been used by AEW since March 2024, with Starks himself admitting he has ‘no clue’ why he hasn’t been used. Reports suggested that Starks had turned down creative ideas for him in AEW, including a feud with former tag partner Big Bill.

Whilst there is no indication on just how long Starks has left on his AEW deal, WWE NXT are believed to be very interested in securing his signature should he become a free agent.
