Booker T Loving WWE Role Amid AEW ‘Speculation’

The two time Hall of Famer is happy where he is

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has dismissed apparent reports linking him to a role with AEW.

Taking to the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T reaffirmed his support to WWE, saying:

"I saw on a poll that I might be going (to AEW). I don't know what to say. There's nothing I can say [laughs]. But I'm locked in, I'm good, I'm happy. I like being, looking from the outside, looking in. I don't want to be on the inside looking out ever, ever again,”

Booker continued:

”I love my position - the broadcasting position, the kickoff shows, backstage, all day long. As far as ever thinking about getting in the ring and doing something [laughs], you can forget it, man.”

With several WWE legends taking AEW broadcast roles such as Paul Wight and Mark Henry, there are bound to be links between AEW and seemingly every retired household name wrestler in the USA.

WWE have treated Booker T very well on the whole, with the former five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion being a two-time inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame.
