Bruce Prichard Thought 'Mr. McMahon' Docuseries Sucked, Considered It A 'Gotcha Piece'

Bruce Prichard thought Netflix’s ‘Mr. McMahon’ series was a ‘gotcha piece’

Netflix have released their Mr. McMahon docuseries, with the multi-part look at the rise and fall of the former WWE Chairman the talk of the wrestling world.

With footage and interviews shot before McMahon was accused of sex trafficking and sexual assault by former aid Janel Grant, some former colleagues of McMahon approached for comment prior to the allegations don’t come across great in the series, with former ‘right hand man’ Bruce Prichard being one of them.

After seeing an early cut of the series’s earlier episodes, Prichard was interviewed for further quotes for the documentary, saying the following in a session recorded on January 23, 2024:

“Thought they sucked. I didn’t think it was balanced at all. I thought it was a gotcha piece, I thought it was portrayed as a gotcha piece. And it was all about how can we make Vince look bad. Let’s make him look sh*tty here, let’s make him look sh*tty there. I’m close to it, I live it, and it’s personal to me,” said Prichard

Prichard thought the doc missed Vince’s ‘human side’ and recalled Vince making sure Bruce Prichard’s wife was given the best care when she got cancer.

“It wasn’t a documentary on Vince and Vince’s life and Vince’s story,” continued Prichard. “It was ‘see what an asshole Vince McMahon is, let’s see how big of an asshole we can make him’. If he were one I would support that, but he’s not.”

Prichard’s quotes were made two days prior to the the Janel Grant lawsuit being filed.
