Bryan Danielson Enters AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

Bryan Danielson is looking to secure an AEW World Title shot at All In.

AEW star Bryan Danielson has declared for this year's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

On the June 5 edition of AEW Dynamite, a fired-up Danielson delivered a promo where he said he had his sights set on winning the tournament and then going on to challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In.

During the promo, 'The American Dragon' noted that his last year as a full-time professional wrestler hasn't gone exactly as he had planned due to several high-profile losses. However, he vowed to do what he could to go out on top in what was his 'last shot'.

The 43-year-old is the first AEW star to enter the Owen Hart Cup. The final of the men's tournament (as well as the women's version) will take place on the July 10 episode of Dynamite, which emanates from Calgary, Canada. Adam Cole, Britt Baker, Ricky Starks, and Willow Nightingale are the four previous tournament winners.

As for Danielson, the former WWE and ROH Champion will be going into the 2024 tournament banged up, with Danielson claiming he will need surgery 'pretty soon'.

Tony Khan recently discussed Danielson's AEW future, saying that he'd like him to stay with the company in some capacity 'forever'.
