Bryan Danielson Reveals Shirt Choice For AEW Dynamite Was Intentional

Bryan Danielson's shirt on AEW Dynamite resembled his "retirement speech" attire

On AEW Dynamite this week, Bryan Danielson closed the show with a fired up speech ahead of his All In: London 2024 main event against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship in Wembley Stadium. Many fans noticed that the shirt worn by Danielson as he delivered a running knee to Strickland and issued a rallying cry to the fans in the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales, shared a striking resemblance to the shirt he wore several years ago during his retirement speech in 2016.

In comparing the two shirts, it is clear that the designs are different and the colours are of a slightly different shade. When speaking to Fightful, Danielson revealed that this was not just a coincidence, though he did actually intend on wearing the exact same shirt.

He revealed that the shirt choice was intentional, and that he picked it thinking it was the same one. Heading into AEW All In, this could well be a tease of what fans could see in the main event, as Danielson vs. Strickland is a Career vs. Title match. A potential spoiler on the result for that match was revealed this weekend, which can be read here.
