Carlito has finally turned heel in WWE
Shock! Horror! Carlito has turned heel on WWE SmackDown! In a move which has been brewing for many weeks and months, Carlito finally snapped last night on SmackDown after being outed as the one who attacked Dragon Lee in the lead-up to WrestleMania 40, ruling him out of a planned tag team match alongside Rey Mysterio to take on Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar.
In a segment in which Legado Del Fantasma faced off with LWO members, Escobar revealed that Elektra Lopez had been working hard to find the security footage from Lee’s attack. The footage was shown, clearly revealing Carlito to be the one who orchestrated the ambush. Panicked at this revelation, Carlito still looked torn as he hit a backstabber on Dragon Lee in the ring before high-tailing out into the crowd, running away from a betrayed Rey Mysterio.
The true motivations behind Carlito’s actions and heel turn have not yet been revealed. Carlito had been looking dejected and disappointed as WrestleMania approached, showing unease as Mysterio chose both Dragon Lee and Andrade as tag team partners over Carlito.
