EXCLUSIVE: Grizzled Young Veterans Reveal TNA & MLW Names Involved With Burning Heart Pro Wrestling

A new professional wrestling promotion was launched in recent weeks as James Drake and Zack Gibson of Grizzled Young Veterans announced that Burning Heart Pro Wrestling will hold their inaugural show at the Liverpool Olympia on Friday, June 21, with Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Sanity already set for the event. Burning Heart will then hold two more shows, first in Wolverhampton on Saturday, June 22 before they head to Swansea on Sunday, June 23. 

Burning Heart is headed up by a committee of international wrestlers and the promotion's motto is that it was "created by wrestlers, for wrestlers and fans." This ultimately means Grizzled Young Veterans aren't the only wrestlers involved with Burning Heart and Zack Gibson revealed exclusively to Cultaholic Wrestling that Rickey Shane Page and George Iceman are the "main guys behind the scenes." 

"These conversations have been had for years and then intensified in the last couple of months. One of the things that we will have to say is it's not just mine and James' brand. We did the initial promo and then our inboxes just got swamped, as they do. I don't begrudge anyone for messaging. We are also wearing two hats at the moment so we are also in that hustle pushing our tag team and pushing our careers on one side. Then we've just started wearing this new hat working with Burning Heart... These conversations, you've seen the sort of company line that it's ran by a committee of top internationals. The main guys behind the scenes there is a fella called Rickey Shane Page. He's another driving force behind this. There's another fella called George Iceman. It goes even beyond that because there's so many people invested in this project. Some people are financially invested, other people are just emotionally invested. What that's created is a full team of people who are bouncing ideas, making suggestions but just want to see it succeed," Gibson said. 

Grizzled Young Veterans don't currently have defined roles in Burning Heart as the promotion is just in its infancy. A lot of talent have reached out about being booked by the indy promotion, though, simply because GYV and Rickey Shane Page are involved. 

Rickey Shane Page is a longtime name from the independent wrestling scene and he is currently the MLW National Openweight Champion. George Iceman is currently featured in TNA Wrestling as Ash By Elegance's personal concierge.

Tickets are already available for all three of Burning Heart Pro Wrestling's opening shows. 

Grizzled Young Veterans recently debuted in All Elite Wrestling, which they described as everything coming up Milhouse.
