Cassie Lee Would Be Open To A Royal Rumble Return

Cassie Lee would be open to returning to WWE in the future

It has been over three years since Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay of the IInspiration (FKA Peyton Royce & Billie Kay of the IIconics) competed in WWE, receiving their release from the promotion in 2021. Despite the pair being offered a spot in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble, the two rejected the offer and instead focused on their career in IMPACT Wrestling, where they won the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.

Lee returned to the ring in 2023 following a year out of action without her tag team partner, but took another hiatus due to pregnancy. When speaking to D.S Shin of Ring The Belle, Lee gave the reason for rejecting a spot in the 2022 Royal Rumble, but noted that she would be open to appearing in the future.

“Yeah, I’m open to it, for sure (she said about WWE’s Royal Rumble). I would love that. It’d be so good to catch up and I mean, it’s the Royal Rumble. We said no last time because we were still pretty hurt about it but, I feel healed now and I feel like I’d love to do that if the opportunity came.”

The offer to appear in the Royal Rumble came very soon after their initial releases, so it is of little surprise that they took their particular stance.
