Damian Priest Nearly Broke Character During Bad Bunny's WWE Entrance

Damian Priest was in awe like the rest of the audience when Bad Bunny made his Backlash entrance

At Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, two Puerto Rican names clashed in a memorable match as Damian Priest wrestled music sensation Bad Bunny. From Bunny’s insane entrance to the match itself to the finish which saw appearance from Carlito and Savio Vega, the match stole the show.

At the time, Priest was still a dastardly heel and member of the Judgment Day, but even he nearly broke character when seeing Bunny’s goosebump-inducing entrance as the audience sang along with his music. When speaking on Squared Circle Pit, Priest noted that he had to make sure he remained in character when asked about it.

“Yeah, that’s exactly what happened (almost slipped out of character during Bad Bunny’s WWE Backlash entrance). I had to be like, hey, cut it out. Stay in it, stay in it… I’ve been in the crowd where you could feel the floor shaking a little bit and whatnot but being in the ring, you don’t really feel the tremble. You don’t really feel that. But I felt it that night. That was wild, in his entrance and I got goosebumps while I was in the ring waiting for him and then but I had to keep a straight face, you know? Angry or whatever but, that was one of the wildest things I had ever seen.”

Bunny would go on to defeat Priest with the help of Vega, Carlito, and the LWO.
