Celtic FC Thanks CM Punk For Costing Drew McIntyre At WWE Clash At The Castle

Celtic FC are fans of CM Punk's actions at Clash At The Castle

Last night’s WWE Clash At The Castle event in Glasgow, Scotland saw CM Punk commit two war crimes on the nation of Scotland. The first was when CM Punk ran out donning a referee’s shirt to cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship once again, this time in front of his home country at the OVO Hydro.

The second was when he appeared at the post-show press conference wearing Celtic FC colours, taking aim at half of Glasgow. For those unaware, Glasgow’s footballing fanbase is split in two between Celtic and Rangers, which is one of the most vicious rivalries in sporting history. Punk donning the Celtic badge was yet another dig at McIntyre, who is a renowned Rangers fan.

In response to Punk’s actions, Celtic FC took the time to thank Punk for sticking it to McIntyre at Clash At The Castle. On X, the club’s official page responded to the video of Punk backstage at the event putting on a referee shirt and rushing off to the ring. The two words they tweeted out were “Thank You”, with a green heart. The Old Firm rivalry is alive, even in WWE.
