A long, long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me smile...

For the second time, Drew McIntyre has failed to win a world championship in the main event of Clash at the Castle.

McIntyre headlined Clash at the Castle on Saturday, June 15 as he challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. 'Irn Dru' looked to have the match won at one point but Priest managed to kick out of a Claymore. A referee bump then followed as the official went flying into the barricade which provided the opening for McIntyre to hit a second Claymore.

Drew made the cover and another referee sprinted to the ring and counted 1-2... but they declined to count the 3 as the official was revealed to be none other than CM Punk. A furious McIntyre then grabbed Punk, only for the Second City Saviour to level him with a Low Blow. Priest then followed up with a second South of Heaven, at which point the original referee recovered and counted the winning pinfall for the World Heavyweight Champion.

Clash at the Castle went off the air with McIntyre on the flat of his back and Damian Priest celebrating. At least McIntyre didn't have to sing 'American Pie' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger' this time.

Whether Damian Priest will even be able to defend the World Heavyweight Title moving forward remains to be seen. Priest was involved in a rough spot where he went for a Tope Con Giro but got his leg stuck between the middle and top rope as he went over. This left Priest trapped as the ropes twisted and he ended up clonking his head off the apron before he was left dangling for a good 45 seconds before McIntyre freed his opponent. Priest then struggled to put weight on his right leg for the remainder of the contest.

Them good ol' boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye singing 'This'll be the day that I die.'
