Cody Rhodes replies to Tay Conti about AEW return
After Tay Conti received further harassment on social media over her relationship with Sammy Guevara, with one fan claiming Guevara "upgraded" to Conti from ex-fiancee Pam Nizio, the Brazilian AEW talent tweeted Cody and Brandi Rhodes asking them when they would be returning to All Elite Wrestling.
"Hey @CodyRhodes @TheBrandiRhodes when y'all coming back ? You left all the haters to me and @sammyguevara huh ?!!" Conti tweeted.
The American Nightmare replied to Conti soon after, writing: "Mediocrity loves company, and when you're underrated everybody is your friend. Just do the work(like y'all do) wear the crown and smile. It's still the best sport, the best fans, and ultimately it's all worth it."
Brandi also wrote back: "And if they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile."
Cody and Brandi Rhodes were previously key members of All Elite Wrestling but they departed the promotion in Mid-February, weeks after their original AEW deals had expired.
Cody initially appeared to be set for a WWE return but him re-signing with the company has become increasingly uncertain and the decision is reportedly "in his court." Brandi, meanwhile, will not follow her husband to WWE.
